Dr Frederick Goh, or Dr Fred, as he is affectionately known to patients, graduated in Singapore in 1991. As a medical officer, he was accepted into the Family Medicine GP training scheme, where he trained in two major tertiary hospitals under different professors and senior staff, successfully completing postings in General Medicine, Paediatrics, ENT, Eye,
Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Anesthesiology, Radiology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
He has spent the last 28 years working in General Practice in both his own clinic as well as with various other GP practices, large and small, both in Singapore and Auckland, honing his clinical skills and developing his diagnostic acumen. As a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners, he enjoys all aspects of being a GP and Family Doctor. His special interests include Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat and Lung conditions, long term Diabetes, Hypertension and Lipid management to prevent strokes and heart disease. He has his own slit lamp for external eye problems, a special otoscope for ENT problems as well as dermatoscopes for skin examination. Having had 6 children of his own, he enjoys seeing young families, babies and kids. He strongly believes in patient empowerment through health education and is the author of the diet book The Metabolic Apocalypse which introduces The Liberty Diet, created to combat obesity and its consequences. (We have some copies that we are happy to give out free of charge and you can also catch Dr Fred for an autograph if you wish!)

Educated in an English language environment in multiracial Singapore, he is conversant in Mandarin and 3 other Chinese dialects namely Cantonese, Taiwanese Hokkien and Teochew. He can even speak a bit of Malay. He loves sorting out different interesting diagnostic dilemmas and enjoys helping patients to achieve better health. He is always happy to provide a listening ear, a sound clinical plan and personalised premier GP care to anyone who walks through his door.

Originally from Malaysia, Dr Nelson graduated from the University of Auckland in 2015. After graduation, he has worked in various healthcare settings ranging from the urban Auckland City Hospital to the rural Rawene Hospital
located in the Far North in Hokianga.
​
Starting at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, he has successfully completed rotations through many departments,
where he acquired first-hand experience and valuable insight into different specialties including general medicine,
general surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, neurosurgery, oncology, obstetrics and gynaecology.
In addition, he completed a Diploma in Paediatrics by spending six months in the Paediatrics department,
looking after and learning more about children’s health.

In 2020, he transitioned to community-based medicine, working in both general practice and urgent care clinics,
increasing his ability to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions. His hard work culminated in 2023
when he was awarded a Fellowship by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
​
He enjoys looking after patients for the long-term with conscientious follow-up, dedication to personalized care
and a passion for helping patients do better. His special interests include children's health,
chronic disease management and preventative medicine as he strongly believes that prevention is better than cure.
​
He is married to Emma, a wonderful young lady from Hong Kong who is
actively helping him to learn more Cantonese so that he can reach out to more patients.

Our very capable Nurse Yang, originally trained at Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China.
Post graduation, she worked as a Theatre Nurse for over 2 years in Guangzhou before moving to New Zealand in 2011.
​
Dedicated to improving herself, she underwent re-training in New Zealand,
obtaining her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Unitec in 2019.
​
Since then, she has worked in an urgent care clinic in Central Auckland for the last five years,
honing her triage and emergency skills as well as wound care knowledge.
We are privileged to have her on board as she transitions towards becoming a practice nurse in a General Practice setting.
​
With her experience of being a mother of two, she joins us as our childhood vaccination nurse and is
well suited to provide this service to our paediatric patients with care.
She has also trained to provide cervical smears and women's health advice for our female patients.
She is highly efficient and is always happy to provide holistic patient care for your whole family.

Yumi Zhu

Our new nursing assistant Yumi comes from China and was trained at Xiangxing College in Hunan.
She worked as a Neurology Rehabilitation Nurse for over 9 years before moving to New Zealand 6 months ago.
She is awaiting conversion for her nursing degree.
She is skilled in providing empathetic, personalized care and addressing individual health needs.

​She speaks excellent Mandarin, English as well as conversational Japanese.
She assists our doctors with all their nursing needs including conducting patient education,
recalls and checks as well as in house testing such as ECG's, urine tests and questionnaires.
Being bilingual, she is able to assist in helping our non-English speaking patients
navigate the complexities of the NZ health system.
She is enthusiastic, pleasant and enjoys her daily interaction with patients as she considers it a
great privilege to be of help and service to them during their difficult times.

Joyce is our lovely receptionist who is well known for her cheerful and helpful personality.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Massey University, Joyce worked on various consultancy positions,
analyzing retail channels to identify customer needs so as to deliver solutions that build customer relationships.
​
Her strong customer service background was enhanced by her 4 year stint as manager of a café business
where she organized staff and help promote customer relationships over different social media platforms.
​
She brings her strong organizational skills and customer service excellence to care effectively
for all your non-medical related interactions with our clinic.
​
She is fluent in English and Mandarin and also reads and writes Chinese
so she is able to communicate with patients in both languages.

Ivy is a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional from Tianjin, China, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the title of Charge Nurse. She brings over 12 years of hands-on clinical experience at Tianjin Chest Hospital, where she has worked across various departments including Emergency, Cardiology, Coronary Care Unit and Pulmonology.
Ivy excels in comprehensive patient assessment, creating personalized care plans, and demonstrates strong skills in monitoring clinical progress, supporting medical treatments, and providing clear, empathetic communication to patients and their families.

Known for her warm personality, proactive attitude, and patient-first philosophy, Ivy consistently works hand-in-hand with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic and high-quality nursing care.
​
Besides being a capable receptionist, she is also a wonderful nursing support coordinator for our doctors.

Joanne graduated with an Honours law degree and since then she has been busy being the wife of Dr Fred looking after their six children. She honed her clinic designing skills in 1999 when she designed and completed their first clinic in Singapore.

This time around, her attention to detail and meticulous planning can be seen throughout our wonderful premises. She has single handedly guided a team of talented NZ craftsmen in completing renovations in record time and has imbued the clinic with the warmth and charm of a modern home
She believes in a holistic clinical experience for all our customers and works tirelessly to perfect the clinic environment as well as each customer's experience. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Hokkien as well as a tad of Malay. She is in charge of clinic administration, ensuring a well run practice dedicated to delivering Premier Healthcare for all our patients.
